Summary & Analysis
As you’ll see in the latest data produced by our local organization, our real estate market is showing signs of life. New listings, pending sales and closed sales are all up significantly from the month before, but still down significantly compared to the year before.
Total market time has dropped 14 days, and our inventory has fallen slightly, to 1.6 months of inventory.
What does this all mean? The Portland metro market remains surprisingly stable, even in the face of raising interest rates and economic headwinds. If you’re thinking about selling, it’s still a strong market- as long as you price your property well. If you’re thinking about buying, you’ll jump into a market that’s tamer than it’s been in the last few years.
