Our Non-Profit Corner features the upcoming 34th Annual WINTERFOLK event on February 4th -- the largest annual folk music concert in Oregon. This event benefits Transition Projects, a local non-profit that helps vulnerable individuals and families all over Portland.

Meet Bruno Paris: Truffle Hunter by Day, Cuddler by Night!

It’s no secret that pets can contribute to your happiness and add real joy and unconditional love to your life. We are pet lovers here at Portland Real Producers, and we love learning about your pets! We connected with Top Producer Claire Paris, Paris Group Realty, LLC, to find out about her fur baby, Bruno.

WHAT IS YOUR DOG’S AGE, AND WHAT IS THE BREED? Bruno is 9 months, and he’s a Lagotto Romagnolo and Labrador retriever.

WHERE AND WHY DID YOU GET YOUR PET? We took a bunch of the American Kennel Club quizzes to find out what dog would work best for what we like (no fur, active, empathetic, not too much energy), and it came up Lagotto, but all the breeders were years out for an available litter. We eventually found Sweet Pine Puppies and went to visit and chose Bruno! We’ve always wanted a dog, but neither Matt nor I had one yet as adults, so it’s been a fun new experience for us both.

WHAT SPECIAL TALENTS OR UNIQUE QUIRKS DOES YOUR PET HAVE? We’re working on teaching him how to hunt for mushrooms; this breed is used in Italy to hunt truffles!

ANY FUNNY STORIES YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE ABOUT YOUR PET? Bruno is a sock aficionado. Somehow, he always finds our favorite socks and loves to rip them apart.

34th Annual WINTERFOLK - A Benefit for Transition Projects

Oregon’s largest annual folk music concert event, a benefit for Transition Projects, will celebrate its 34th Anniversary tonight.
“Winterfolk” is one of those rare expressions of giving which brings disparate communities of our area together, in the common celebration of music and caring- and a sure knowledge that every dollar raised at the door goes to the folks it is intended to help.

For over 53 years, Transition Projects has delivered life-saving and life changing support to some of Portland's most vulnerable residents. "Winterfolk" is proud to partner with this long time organization, working towards one of the most basic human rights.
